From our Valentine's Day Menu

Chocolate Fondue Recipe

 

Ingredients:chocolate fondue

  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1/2 pound premium semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • Skewers for dipping


Directions:


Put approximately 4 inches of water in the saucepan and bring to a boil. Place the mixing bowl on top and pour in the heavy cream; let heat. Chop chocolate into small pieces. When the cream feels hot to the touch, add chocolate and whisk continuously until smooth. Whisk in vanilla.

Pour into the fondue pot and light. Keep the flame low (to prevent burning the fondue).

Enjoy with strawberries, bananas, marshmallows, or your favorite fruit and cookies (great with shortbread).
