Guidobono Langhe Nebbiolo 2010

| December 27, 2012

Years ago while dining at one of our favorite Italian restaurants in the neighborhood, we discovered a great wine at a fabulous price and continued to order it regularly on our weekly visits. After quite some time had passed they ran out of our “go to” wine and we had to move on to others, but we could never find the perfect replacement for our old favorite.

Last week while dining at Felice 64, I was surprised and excited to see that wine on the menu. It was three years later and I couldn’t wait to try this vintage.

The Guidobono Langhe Nebbiolo 2010 is a fine choice and an excellent dinner companion. Straight from Piedmont this food-friendly Guidobono Langhe Nebbiolo 2010Nebbiolo is an amazing value. It possesses medium-full body with notes of black cherries, dark fruits and spice. It has delicate tannins and a beautifully smooth lasting finish. This wine is perfect alone or can be paired well with Mezzi Rigatoni All’Amatriciana, Veal Meatballs, creamy Brie or Fontina cheese.

For those who love a delicious, well balanced red, this is definitely one to try!
