Nestled in the heart of southwest Michigan, Baroda Founders Wine Cellar is making an impact on this little known wine region. Called the Lake Michigan Shore AVA (American Vinticultural Area), the climate is ideal for growing bountiful harvests. Baroda and fellow Lake Michigan Shore Wine Trail wineries are producing high-quality award-winning wines.
Baroda’s awards include a Double Gold for their Vidal Blanc, Select Late Harvest 2008 at the 2010 Indy International Wine Competition and a Bronze at the 2010 Finger Lakes International Wine Competition, for their DeChaunac, 2008.
We were fortunate enough to try the 2010 Luce Del Sole, which means "sunshine." Made in the French Vouvray stye, this slightly sweet, fruity wine delivers a crisp finish that is both clean and refreshing. A perfect wine to enjoy on a warm spring or summer day, so stock up now!
