There is no better way to kick off the South Beach Wine and Food Festival (also known as SOBEWFF) than an after-hours beach party—so when we were invited to attend Moët Hennessy’s ‘Q After Dark’ last week, we were very excited. Knowing that the event was hosted by one of our favorite chef's, Curtis Stone only added to our anticipation of what proved to be a fabulous night ahead.
We arrived at the beach well into the evening and the party was already full of energy and excitement. Many of the guests were there for the Moët Hennessy ‘Q party’ hosted by Paula Deen and sons that began earlier in the evening, and ended up staying for the ‘Q after Dark’ where they danced and enjoyed the late night festivities. There were tents that seemed to go on forever, filled with food from celebrity Chef Curtis Stone's "Land of Plenty" and cocktail offerings from Belvedere Vodka, Hennessy Cognac, Grand Marnier, 10 Cane Rum, and of course, flutes of Champagne from Moët & Chandon.
After tasting some delicious cocktails, we were astounded by the amazing acrobatic feats of the Mansion Nightclub's Cirque du Mansion performers. We watched in awe as they delivered a show that made our jaws drop, hearts pound and added that extra bit of excitement to make the evening a real hit.
The music, entertainment, cocktails and food were the perfect ingredients for a fantastic night out with friends. This event is a great for groups and we will be sure to return next year. For those who love a beach party, head to The ‘Q after Dark’—it will not disappoint.
