For those who want to ring in the New Year with one of the world’s greatest chefs and don’t mind paying for the opportunity, there’s Chef’s Pass at Bouley. You will be seated at a 12-person table between the kitchen and the dining room, where you can watch David Bouley prepare your meal, and/or take advantage of the kitchen’s Skype set-up to talk to your family.

If you want to party in one of the city’s awesome dining rooms, Monkey Bar is offering two five-course NYE menus with an array of delicious-sounding specialty dishes. At the second seating, from 8-10 p.m., they’ll pour Champagne from nine-liter Salmanzar bottles.

Enjoy dinner at a Danny Meyer restaurant, with music by a Grammy Award-winning bassist and a midnight toast. Start off your night at Jazz Standard, where you’ll enjoy a three-course feast of Blue Smoke’s signature dishes set to the live, jazzy tunes of Richard Bona. There will be seatings at 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
